Children’s Pottery  (6 weeks)

Students will create various clay project using the potter’s wheel and hand building techniques.  They will have knowledge of surface enrichment, glazing, and painting of their pottery pieces.
**This is a drop-off program

Homeschoolers

Learn to Draw (8 weeks)

Learning how to draw is really “learning how to see.” This course serves as a first step for students looking to develop foundation skills in drawing. Students learn to use materials (pencil, pen and charcoal) properly as they complete in-class exercises that focus on composition, figurative anatomy and perspective drawing.
**This is a drop-off program

Weekly Programs

Open Studio Fridays

Every other Friday, starting on August 23, 2019, 12:15 p.m.-5 p.m.

Open Studio is an after-school program open to the whole family to come and experience art in a free-spirited way. Families are invited to use the materials in our upstairs studio, work on art inspired by the works on display at our galleries and everyone can work at their own pace!

Open Studio is $5 per adult, $3 per children (12 yrs-younger)

No pre-registration required

Stroller Tours + Open Studio Time

Wednesdays 9:30-11 a.m.

Stroller Tours are just for parents and caregivers with children aged 0–5 years old when the Museum is closed to the public. Fussy children and crying babies are welcome!

After the tour everyone is welcome to visit our Open Studio. During this hour you can get creative at the Renee Foosaner Education Center, located right across the street from the museum. You will be creating your own art inspired by works on view in the current exhibitions. Each Wednesday we will offer a different art-making project.
Tickets are required; In order to attend a ticket must be reserved for every participant (children and adults) in your party.
Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. If you have any questions, please email keliasperez@fit.edu before purchasing your tickets.

$5 per person (12 months of age and up) includes a tour, Open Studio and a 20% discount at Anaya Coffee

Making Waves Art Camp: Locally Sourced Inspiration & Place-Based Art Creation

Explore place-based art creation to celebrate where you live, develop your own creative voice, and make waves in your community! Join us for a summer art camp inspired by the wonders in your own backyard and discover how a little drop of art making sends out huge ripples of inspiration and change all around you.

How to register?

We register by rising grade, i.e. if your camper will start the 5th grade in the fall, then please sign up for the 5th/6th grade group.

We have camps available for 7th-9th graders only on week 4 and week 7.

Prices:
Pre-K/K (9 – 11 a.m. ONLY): $80 members/ $100 non-members
Half day sessions: $100 members/120 non-members
Full day sessions: $200 members/ $240 non-members
